By: Tope OYEKAN The Alaperu of Iperu, His Royal Highness, Oba Adeleke Adelekan IDOWU-BASIBO (Odoru V), FIEX, FICMC, has inaugurated a land search committee for the proposed Iperu Mini Stadium Project, and has appointed Alhaji Denny OLADIPUPO as Chairman of the newly-inaugurated committee, and Asiwaju Adeleke OSHILAJA as the Secretary. Performing the inauguration at his palace on friday, 28th June, 2024, the royal father expressed his readiness to assist the committee with necessary contacts and supports, especially with obtaining required documents from the State Government, as he charged members to be steadfast, committed, dedicated, and render selfless service with regards to finding a suitable location for the construction of the proposed Iperu Mini Stadium in earnest.  The monarch commended the Iperu Development Association on the composition of the committee, saying its members are thoroughbred professionals who are competent to deliver on their mandate. -Tope OYEKAN The 5th edition of the Altar of Praise, a bi- annual gospel musical concert  will be held today, Sunday, 30th June, 2024, at the St. James' Anglican Church, Iperu Remo. Powered by the Angelic Voices, the music gathering which has Olayinka BELLO, also known as Hephzibah, as the host, starts by 2 pm, and shall feature praise, worship, thanksgiving, and music ministration from renowned gospel music ministers. Slated to perform at the Altar of Praise concert, with the theme - "I will sing unto the Lord",  are Venerable Gboyega BABAYEJU; Mr. & Mrs. SODEHINDE (His Worship Band); Lady Evangelist Ope AFOLABI (New Age); and Pastor Samuel ADEBAYO. Also on the list are Adewale EFUWAPE (Welimah Sax); and Ambassador Bola AMUSA (Arabaribiti). The non-profit and non-governmental organization with focus on the needy, vulnerable, aged, widows, and the less-privileged in the society, is the initiative of the founder and promoter, Evang. The royal father gave the commendation during a Thank You Visit of the Chairman of the 2024 Ojude Oba Iperu Planning Committee, Otunba Taiwo OYEBANJO to him in his palace on Monday, 24th June, 2024.
