For some years now, there has been an agitations on land grabbing activities by the Villagers within Makun area of Sagamu local government and the agitation is being supported by his royal highness, Oba Timothy Oyesola Akinsanya, Ewusi of Makun Kingdom. Impeachment: Ondo deputy governor wants Akeredolu’s name dropped from suit

The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has asked the State High Court to drop Governor Rotimi Akeredolu as a defendant from his suit against the state House of Assembly over its move to impeach him. Mr Aiyedatiwa said this in an application to amend the originating summons as Justice Akintan Osade on Friday in Akure took arguments from both parties. The deputy governor’s lawyers said the amendment became necessary to bring the substantive issues in the suit before the court. Although the defendants did not file a counter-affidavit to the application, they opposed it on points of law. Whilst counsel to the deputy governor urged the court to rule on the application before proceeding in the case, the court ruled that it would take it with the application by the House of Assembly challenging the jurisdiction of the court. MohBad died from injuries sustained during fight with PrimeBoy — Police

This disclosure came during a press conference by the Lagos Police Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa, as he announced the names of those apprehended in connection with the singer’s demise. According to Commissioner Owohunwa, PrimeBoy, who is among the suspects, attended Mohbad’s show in Ikorodu on September 10, 2023, accompanied by the singer. “At the end of the show, Mohbad and Ibrahim (Primeboy) were engaged in a violent fight during which Mohbad was injured. MC Oluomo Appointed Acting Chair Of South-West NURTW

The Lagos State chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, has been appointed the acting chairman of the union in Zone 2 (South West). The delegates also appealed to the governments of Ondo, Oyo, and Osun States to allow the union to return to motor parks in their states. Reading the resolutions reached at the quadrennial Congress of the union held in Osogbo on Thursday, the former NURTW national treasurer, Nasiru Komolafe, who presided over the congress, stated further that MC Oluomo, who is now Deputy Chairman of the South-West zone, would act as the national chairman of the union pending election of substantive chairman.
