Stop Exploiting Fuel Hike with Excessive Fares, AMORAN Warns Members
The leadership of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) has issued a stern warning to its members across Ogun State regarding the arbitrary increase of transport fares. Speaking during an extended State Executive meeting in Abeokuta on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, the State Chairman of the union in Ogun, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, emphasized the need for members to support the efforts of the Ogun State government in alleviating the current economic challenges. “We urge our members across Ogun State to desist from taking undue advantage of the recent hike in fuel prices by charging exorbitant fares. This does not serve our interests, nor does it align with the government's efforts,” Sokoya stated. He further lauded the efforts of Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, for his numerous initiatives aimed at easing the hardship faced by citizens, stressing the need for AMORAN members to complement these efforts. “While the rise i
