120 suspects arrested, 100 remanded over cultism, says Abiodun’s aide
By Bankole Taiwo The Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State on Security, Sola Subair, has said that no fewer than 120 cultists have been arrested in the last three months, out of which 100 have been remanded across the state. Subair, a retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, said the state government would give no breathing space to troublemakers, adding that war against cultism was total. He spoke on Friday during a security meeting with the Akarigbo and paramount ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi. Also in attendance were members of the state security team including the consultant to the governor on Security, Awolowo Ajogun, a retired commissioner of police; Senior Special Assistant on Security, Biyi Odubote; Divisional Police Officers in Sagamu and some traditional rulers and chiefs.
