REMO DAY 2024: AMORAN Chairman, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya Lauds Governor Abiodun, Akarigbo For Breaking Grounds

The Chairman of the of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), Otunba Taofeek Sokoya (a.k.a Danku) has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Samuel Adewale Ajayi (Torungbuwa II) and the organizers of the maiden edition of Remo Day for a successful and historic event.

The Remo Day celebration, held on Friday, December 27, 2024, was the first of its kind, attracting a large turnout of sons and daughters of Remoland who came together to celebrate their rich cultural heritage and promote unity.

In a statement issued by the State Chairman, Otunba Sokoya commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for his unwavering support and visionary leadership, which made the event a reality. He congratulated the Governor on the achievement, noting that it was during his tenure that the dream of a unified Remo Day became a reality.

"I sincerely appreciate our Executive Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, for his dedication to fostering cultural development and unity among the people of Remo. The successful hosting of the maiden edition of Remo Day is a testament to his administration's commitment to our heritage," he said.

Otunba Sokoya also extended gratitude to the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Samuel Adewale Ajayi (Torungbuwa II), for his royal guidance and blessings, which contributed immensely to the event's success.

He further acknowledged the tireless efforts of the organizers and the unwavering support of all sons and daughters of Remoland, whose active participation ensured the celebration's triumph.

"This event has showcased the strength, unity and cultural pride of the Remo people. I am immensely proud of our collective efforts and look forward to seeing this celebration grow even bigger in the years to come," Sokoya added.

Sokoya further emphasized the importance of sustaining the Remo Day initiative as a platform for cultural preservation and socio-economic development, pledging his continued support for future editions.
