On behalf of the State Executive Council and the entire members of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) in Ogun State, I am honored to celebrate an esteemed leader, the immediate past Chairman of our great union, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle, on his birthday anniversary.

Today, we not only celebrate you as a remarkable leader but also acknowledge the significant contributions and remarkable vision that you brought to AMORAN during your tenure. Your leadership laid a solid foundation and strengthened our union, guiding it with a true commitment to unity, progress and the welfare of all members.

There is absolutely no doubt that your contributions and legacy continues to shape the present and future of our union. Your dedication to improving the welfare of our members has set a standard for responsible and purposeful leadership within our AMORAN. 

On this special day, we, the members of AMORAN, Ogun State, express our heartfelt appreciation and best wishes to Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle. The Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) in Ogun State has officially inaugurated Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as the new chairman of the union. The inauguration ceremony took place today at the union's state secretariat in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. The leadership transition duly follows the resignation of the former chairman, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle. In response, the union's executive members unanimously elected Otunba Sokoya as the new chairman, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the organization. The event was marked by the presence of prominent dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, and the Ogun State Commissioner for Transport, Engr. Gbenga Dairo. History Made As AMORAN Chair Taofeek Sokoya Empowers Former Chiarmen Of The Union

This, he kick started with a significant gesture of support by reaching out to his predecessors, offering them a sense of belonging within the union. The historic meeting, held at the Union's state secretariat in Abeokuta on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024, saw the attendance of Alhaji Azeez Olawale, known as "WILLYKAY",  a former chairman of the union, who represented other past chairmen. Otunba Taofeek Sokoya Takes Helm as AMORAN Chairman Following Unanimous Vote

In what appears as transition of leadership, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya (a.k.a Danku) has been unanimously voted as the new Chairman of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN). This follows the resignation of Otunba Aina Nurudeen Alowonle, who stepped down to pursue his 'lifelong ambition'.  During an emergency meeting held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the state executives of AMORAN addressed the resignation letter submitted by Otunba Alowonle. In his letter, the outgoing chairman expressed his intent to resign due to his decision to contest for the position of Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government in the upcoming Ogun State local government elections. Otunba Alowonle extended his gratitude to the executive members for their unwavering support during his tenure.
