AMORAN Chairman Taofeek Sokoya Lauds Tinubu, Abiodun as Union Members In Ogun West Access Subsidized Rice
The chairman of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, has again expressed gratitude to the President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, for their support in the ongoing subsidized rice distribution initiative. This is just as members of the union in Ogun West benefitted from the program on Wednesday, 13th of November, 2024, purchasing a bag of rice at a significantly reduced price of N40,000.
The subsidized rice program which was implemented to help alleviate the burden of rising food costs, has been well-received by residents of the state. According to Otunba Sokoya, the distribution effort demonstrates the government’s commitment to supporting its citizens in challenging economic times.
He acknowledged the leadership and vision of both President Tinubu and Governor Abiodun in prioritizing social welfare programs to ease the impact of inflation on everyday Nigerians, while expressing hope that similar initiatives would continue to be extended across the state which will ensure that relief reaches all those in need.
“We are immensely grateful to President Tinubu and Governor Abiodun for making this subsidized rice program available to our members,” Otunba Sokoya said. “This gesture reflects their dedication to the well-being of Ogun State residents”.
The subsidized rice distribution to AMORAN members in Ogun West is part of broader economic relief efforts launched by the Nigerian government to address food insecurity and assist citizens in coping with the rising cost of living. The initiative has been particularly impactful in Ogun State, where the government, under Governor Abiodun’s guidance, is committed to reaching underserved and economically vulnerable populations.
