Ijebu North NYCN To Unveil, Reward Essay Competition Winners Friday

The Ijebu North chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) is set to announce the winners of its youth essay competition during the council's quarterly meeting. The event will take place on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the Senator Biyi Durojaye Complex, located at the Ijebu North Local Government Secretariat, Ijebu Igbo.

According to Miss. Maraiyesa Ayokunle, Director of the Education and Training Directorate, the winners will not only be unveiled but will also receive their prizes during the meeting. She extended her heartfelt congratulations to the top three winners: Osonowo Deborah Gboyinde (1st place), Fadipe Oluwatimileyin (2nd place), and Adebanjo Toyyibah Ayomide (3rd place) for their outstanding performance.

Miss Ayokunle encouraged the winners to view this achievement as a foundation for future success, emphasizing the importance of continued hard work in their academic pursuits. She remarked, "A brighter future awaits you if you continue to strive for excellence."

Finally, she expressed sincere appreciation to all participants who competed but did not make the top three, urging them not to be discouraged. Instead, she encouraged them to see this as an opportunity for growth and to aim higher in future competitions.
