Ijebu North NYCN Fulfikls Promise, Presents Prizes To Youth Essay Competition Winners

The Ijebu North chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has kept its promise by awarding cash prizes to the winners of its maiden Youth Essay Competition, which took place between August and September 2024. At its quarterly meeting held at the Senator Biyi Durojaye Complex, Ijebu North Local Government Secretariat in Ijebu Igbo on Friday, October 18, 2024, winners were presented with cheques for their respective prizes. The top prize of fifty thousand naira (#50,000) went to Osonowo Deborah, while Fadipe Timileyin and Adebanjo Toyyibah, who placed second and third, received thirty thousand (#30,000) and twenty thousand naira (#20,000) respectively. In her address, the grand prize winner, Osonowo Deborah, who was represented at the event due to her ongoing youth service in Port Harcourt, expressed gratitude to the NYCN in Ijebu North ably led by Ogbeni Abolaji Adeniyi Sobowale and in particular, the Directorate of Education and Training, headed by Miss Maraye
