The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved an irrigation project for Iperu to ensure an all year round farming and guarantee food security. The project which comprises a dam and a water works will assist farmers in an all year round cultivation of crops that will guarantee a regular supply of cheap and affordable food items, and provision of potable water to the people of Iperu and its environs.
