AMORAN Inaugurates Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as New State Chairman In Ogun
The Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) in Ogun State has officially inaugurated Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as the new chairman of the union. The inauguration ceremony took place today at the union's state secretariat in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
The leadership transition duly follows the resignation of the former chairman, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle. In response, the union's executive members unanimously elected Otunba Sokoya as the new chairman, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the organization.
The event was marked by the presence of prominent dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, and the Ogun State Commissioner for Transport, Engr. Gbenga Dairo. Also in attendance were the union’s deputy chairman, Mr. Kazeem Lawal, along with other members of the state executive council.
During his swearing-in ceremony, Otunba Sokoya expressed his commitment to steering the union with diligence and a strong focus on the welfare of its members. He acknowledged the efforts of his predecessor, Otunba Alowonle, praising him for his dedication to advancing the union's goals and the well-being of its members.
“This is a significant responsibility and I am committed to upholding the values of this union while ensuring the interests of all members are prioritized,” Otunba Sokoya stated. He emphasized his readiness to build on the foundation laid by the former chairman and continue to drive the union towards greater achievements.
With his inauguration, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya becomes the sixth chairman of AMORAN since its establishment. His leadership is expected to usher in a new era for the union as it continues to advocate for the rights and welfare of motorcycle owners and riders across Ogun State.
