Ogun Releases Another Batch of Non-Statutory Board Appointments.

The Ogun State Government has released the names of additional non-statutory members appointed by Governor Dapo Abiodun to run four agencies of government. The agencies are Gateway Trading Company, Food Crops Marketing Board, Ogun State Parks and Gardens, and Ogun State Signage and Advertising Agency. The appointments are the second to be made by the governor, after the Ogun Waste Management Authority (OGWAMA), Ogun State Agricultural and Multipurpose Credit Agency (OSAMCA), Plantgate Limited, and the Ogun State Alternative Medicine Board (OGAMB). Yomi Odunowo is to head the board of Gateway Trading Company as chairman. Other members are Elder Tajudeen Alao, Chief Dele Oderinde, Mr. Vittu Tagbe Mechack, Disu Azeez, and Adeleye Olugbenga. AMORAN Holds Executive Meeting, Launches Distribution of DA E-Bike

The Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) convened an extended state executive meeting on August 21, 2024, at the union's state secretariat in Adatan. The meeting was attended by all members of the union's state executives, as well as branch and unit chairmen. During the gathering, Mr. Kazeem Lawal, the union's Vice Chairman, provided an update on recent developments within AMORAN. This meeting marked the first extended state executive meeting since Otunba Taofeek Sokoya's emergence as the new State Chairman. Mr. Lawal revealed that the former chairman, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle, had informed the union's leadership of his decision to resign in order to pursue the executive chairmanship position of Sagamu Local Government in the upcoming Ogun State local government elections. This was contained in a funeral arrangements released by the family and signed by the eldest son of the deceased, Aare Olajide Anthony ODUBONA. Ogun Joins Rice-Producing States as Abiodun Flags Off Harvest of 200-Hectare Plantation

Ogun State has joined the league of rice-producing states in the country with the flagging off of the harvest of 200 hectares of farmland at Magboro Rice Farm in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of the state. The farm is the brainchild of the Ogun State Economic Transformation Project, supported by the World Bank  and aimed at driving economic growth and development in the state. The state chairman of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, has asserted that members of the union are responsible and peace-loving individuals, countering common misconceptions about their conduct. The Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) in Ogun State has officially inaugurated Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as the new chairman of the union. The inauguration ceremony took place today at the union's state secretariat in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. The leadership transition duly follows the resignation of the former chairman, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle. In response, the union's executive members unanimously elected Otunba Sokoya as the new chairman, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the organization. The event was marked by the presence of prominent dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, and the Ogun State Commissioner for Transport, Engr. Gbenga Dairo. Also in attendance were the union’s deputy chairman, Mr. Kazeem Lawal, along with other members of the state executive council.
