𝗜𝗝𝗘𝗕𝗨 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗛 𝗡𝗬𝗖𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗔𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛, 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ijebu North Chapter, has officially launched its highly anticipated YOUTH ESSAY COMPETITION. This initiative calls on young, passionate individuals from the region to participate in an essay contest designed to foster critical thinking and engage in discussions about significant community issues.

The topic for this year’s competition is "THE ROLE OF YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN REVITALISING NIGERIA'S ECONOMY'.  The youth council, through its directorate of education, aims to stimulate conversation on the vital role that youth entrepreneurship plays in the nation's economic growth, encouraging participants to share their unique perspectives and innovative ideas. The submission guidelines invlude: 


1. Essays must not exceed 1000 words.


2. All entries must be typed.


3. Each essay must include the participant's name at the top.


4. Contact details, including email and phone number, should be listed at the top of the essay.


5. Each participant is allowed only one entry.


6. Participants must be indigenes of Ijebu North Local Government and aged between 10 - 30 years.

The deadline for submissions is September 2, 2024 and interested individuals are required to send their essays to Nycnijebunorthdirectorateofedu@gmail.com. 

The NYCN Coordinator for Ijebu North, Ogbeni Adeniyi Abolaji Sobowale encourages all eligible youths to take part in this competition, emphasizing that it is an excellent opportunity for young minds to express their thoughts and contribute to the dialogue on economic revitalization through entrepreneurship.  He also announced that exciting cash prizes will be awarded to participants who achieve 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the essay competition.
