5TH EDITION OF THE ALTAR OF PRAISE HOLDS TODAY AT ST JAMES' ANGLICAN CHURCH, IPERU

The 5th edition of the Altar of Praise, a bi- annual gospel musical concert  will be held today, Sunday, 30th June, 2024, at the St. James' Anglican Church, Iperu Remo.

Powered by the Angelic Voices, the music gathering which has Olayinka BELLO, also known as Hephzibah, as the host, starts by 2 pm, and shall feature praise, worship, thanksgiving, and music ministration from renowned gospel music ministers.

Slated to perform at the Altar of Praise concert, with the theme - "I will sing unto the Lord",  are Venerable Gboyega BABAYEJU; Mr. & Mrs. SODEHINDE (His Worship Band); Lady Evangelist Ope AFOLABI (New Age); and Pastor Samuel ADEBAYO.
Also on the list are Adewale EFUWAPE (Welimah Sax); and Ambassador Bola AMUSA (Arabaribiti).
The Spiritual Father of the Day is Venerable Shadrach AJILEYE, Vicar, St. James' Anglican Church, Iperu, and Archdeacon, Iperu Archdeaconry.

The Hephzibah band led by Olayinka BELLO was formed in 2009, and has till date produced five albums, namely, Hephzibah, Ire, Ire Remix, Unusual Praise, and Akaikatan.

The Altar of Praise Concert, the fifth in the series started in 2016 at the Christ Anglican Church Ogere, followed by the 2017 edition, held at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Ilara, while the 2019 edition was held at the Ilara Town Hall.
The musical concert now held bi-annually resumed in 2022 at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church Ogere Remo.

CSU confirms Tinubu graduated from school in 1979

The Chicago State University (CSU) has responded to the request by former vice president Atiku Abubakar in line with an Illinois, United States (U.S.) court order. In its response, the CSU insisted that it does not keep copies of diploma certificates issued to students. It also confirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu graduated from the school in 1979. The CSU said Tinubu graduated in 1979 with a bachelors degree in Business Administration. It, however, said that after diligent search it was able to find some but not give the names because of privacy concerns. It further said that it could not find that of Tinubu which Atiku claimed was presented by the president to INEC. The university said it found some diploma certificates with the same font as the one being queried by Atiku.

AMORAN Inaugurates Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as New State Chairman In Ogun

The Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) in Ogun State has officially inaugurated Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as the new chairman of the union. The inauguration ceremony took place today at the union's state secretariat in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. The leadership transition duly follows the resignation of the former chairman, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle. In response, the union's executive members unanimously elected Otunba Sokoya as the new chairman, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the organization. The event was marked by the presence of prominent dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, and the Ogun State Commissioner for Transport, Engr. Gbenga Dairo. Also in attendance were the union’s deputy chairman, Mr. Kazeem Lawal, along with other members of the state executive council.

Otunba Taofeek Sokoya Takes Helm as AMORAN Chairman Following Unanimous Vote

In what appears as transition of leadership, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya (a.k.a Danku) has been unanimously voted as the new Chairman of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN). This follows the resignation of Otunba Aina Nurudeen Alowonle, who stepped down to pursue his 'lifelong ambition'.  During an emergency meeting held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the state executives of AMORAN addressed the resignation letter submitted by Otunba Alowonle. In his letter, the outgoing chairman expressed his intent to resign due to his decision to contest for the position of Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government in the upcoming Ogun State local government elections. Otunba Alowonle extended his gratitude to the executive members for their unwavering support during his tenure.
