Romo Chairman, Sotayo Distributes Palliatives To Ogun Residents

The Ogun State Chairman of Riders and Owners of Motorcycle Organization (ROMO), Alhaji Rasak Olusola Sotayo a.k.a  Solebo has  distributed palliative during the flagoff of his welfare programme to residents of Ogun State .
The palliatives, it was gathered, will be distributed across the nooks and crannies of the State. 

The kind gesture, according to him, was to cushion the hardship currently experienced by people in the country.

The Chairman in a statement through his
Special Assistant On Media and Publicity, Femi Akinlawon, therefore uses the medium to urge other Union leaders to join hands in helping people of the state.

The ROMO boss equally launded President Tinubu and Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun for the distribution food palliatives to residents.

His words “ I am distributing these palliatives to help the people cushion the effects of this hardship. This is the time given out to people, this is the time to really assist ourselves.

“I also want to use Philanthropists out there to follow suit in extending the same gesture to people around them. This will go a long way putting a smile on people's faces.

“As we all know, the government cannot do it alone, that is why we must support the government in this situation. 


 He also advised all beneficiaries to pray for the country as well as cast their anxieties and worries upon God”

The Chicago State University (CSU) has responded to the request by former vice president Atiku Abubakar in line with an Illinois, United States (U.S.) court order. In its response, the CSU insisted that it does not keep copies of diploma certificates issued to students. It also confirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu graduated from the school in 1979. The CSU said Tinubu graduated in 1979 with a bachelors degree in Business Administration. It, however, said that after diligent search it was able to find some but not give the names because of privacy concerns. It further said that it could not find that of Tinubu which Atiku claimed was presented by the president to INEC. The university said it found some diploma certificates with the same font as the one being queried by Atiku.

AMORAN Inaugurates Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as New State Chairman In Ogun

The Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) in Ogun State has officially inaugurated Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as the new chairman of the union. The inauguration ceremony took place today at the union's state secretariat in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. The leadership transition duly follows the resignation of the former chairman, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle. In response, the union's executive members unanimously elected Otunba Sokoya as the new chairman, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the organization. The event was marked by the presence of prominent dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, and the Ogun State Commissioner for Transport, Engr. Gbenga Dairo. Also in attendance were the union’s deputy chairman, Mr. Kazeem Lawal, along with other members of the state executive council.

Otunba Taofeek Sokoya Takes Helm as AMORAN Chairman Following Unanimous Vote

In what appears as transition of leadership, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya (a.k.a Danku) has been unanimously voted as the new Chairman of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN). This follows the resignation of Otunba Aina Nurudeen Alowonle, who stepped down to pursue his 'lifelong ambition'.  During an emergency meeting held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the state executives of AMORAN addressed the resignation letter submitted by Otunba Alowonle. In his letter, the outgoing chairman expressed his intent to resign due to his decision to contest for the position of Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government in the upcoming Ogun State local government elections. Otunba Alowonle extended his gratitude to the executive members for their unwavering support during his tenure.
