Babatunde Rabiu AbdulAzeez, widely known by his stage name "The Great Babs," is a dynamic Fuji artiste poised to make a lasting impact on the Nigerian music scene. Born on July 28, 1988, in the vibrant town of Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State, Babatunde's journey to musical stardom is a testament to his passion, perseverance and talent.

His early years were marked by a deep love for music, nurtured by the rich cultural heritage of his hometown.  His educational journey began at Parent Pride Nursery and Primary School, where he honed his academic and artistic skills from 1990 to 1999. He continued his education at Molusi College, Ijebu Igbo, graduating in 2005. Undeterred by challenges, Babs pursued higher education, obtaining his NCE at Tai Solarin College of Education in 2008, followed by a degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University in 2015.

Hailing from a family of educators, Babs inherited a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence from his late parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rabiu. Their unwavering support fueled his ambition and instilled in him the values of integrity and dedication.

In the early 20s, he set out on his musical journey with the popular 'ajiwere' music genre which is a way of using song to arouse the Islamic faithful to pray and feast during Ramadan festival in Yorubaland.  However, Babatunde's musical journey took flight in 2012 with the release of his debut album, "Bitter Truth," a testament to his raw talent and lyrical prowess. The album received critical acclaim and served as a launchpad for his burgeoning career. Building on this success, Babs captivated audiences with his electrifying performances at various events, earning him a devoted fan base.

Now, with the release of his latest album, "Season," The Great Babs showcases his evolution as an artiste, blending traditional Fuji rhythms with contemporary influences to create a sound that is uniquely his own. From soul-stirring ballads to high-energy anthems, "Season" offers a diverse musical experience that resonates with listeners of all ages.

As he prepares to embark on his next chapter, AbdulAzeez remains committed to thrilling people to good music. Through his music, he aims to spread messages of hope, morals, love and resilience, transcending barriers and uniting audiences from diverse backgrounds.

Join us in celebrating the rise of Babatunde Rabiu AbdulAzeez (a.k.a The Great Babs) as he continues to make waves in the world of Fuji music.
