40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF ANGLICAN DIOCESE OF REMO BEGINS ON SUNDAY, APRIL 7, 2024

The activities marking the 40th anniversary  of the creation of the Anglican Diocese of Remo, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) starts on Sunday, 7th April, 2024, with an anniversary rally holding at Sagamu by 3pm on the day.


Among the activities lined up for the  week-long event with the theme, " For This God Is Our God For Ever And Ever" - Psalm 48:14 (KJV), are the Anniversary Press Conference, holding on Monday, 8th April, 2024, at the Bishop's Court, Ewusi Street, Makun, Sagamu, by 10am. 
This shall be addressed by the Bishop, Remo Anglican Diocese, and Archbishop of the Lagos Ecclesiastical Province, His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. Michael Olusina FAPE.


The Anniversary Crusade holds on Tuesday, 9th April, 2024, at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Sagamu, and all the Archdeaconry Headquarters across the diocese; followed by the Anniversary Lecture, which holds on Wednesday, 10th April, 2024, at the 40th Anniversary Hall, beside the Bishop's Court, Ewusi Street, Makun, Sagamu.


Thursday, 11th April is the day set aside for activities involving the Women Organizations and the Boys/Girls Guild.
This shall also be holding simultaneously at the Cathedral and the Archdeaconries by 2pm.


Youth Day/Music Concert holds on Friday, 12th April, 2024, at Our Saviours Anglican Church, Ikenne Remo between 10am and 4pm; while the Anniversary Gala Day holds on Saturday, 13th April, at the 40th Anniversary Hall, beside the Bishop's Court, Ewusi Street, Makun, Sagamu.


The week-long celebration shall be rounded off on Sunday, 14th April, 2024, with a Thanksgiving Service and Presentation of Diocesan Awards at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Sagamu, commencing from 10am.


Created on the 5th of March, 1984, the Anglican Diocese of Remo has grown in leaps and bounds, though not without its accompanying challenges, but the good Lord has always made it overcome all challenges and emerged more stronger, more cohesive, and more progressive.


The diocese, one of the thirteen in the Lagos Province of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), was upon its creation, administered  by its pioneer Bishop, the late Rt. Rev. Elijah Oluremi Ige OGUNDANA, who after retirement, was succeeded by the incumbent,  His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr. Michael Olusina FAPE.
