SUN NEWSPAPER GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR AWARD; OGUN AMORAN CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR DAPO ABIODUN

The Ogun State chapter of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), has congratulated the executive governor of Ogun state, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, on his latest award as the 2023 Sun Newspapers Governor of the year.

In a congratulatory message signed by the executive chairman of OGUN AMORAN and made available for press release, the Amoran boss described the award to Prince Abiodun as well deserved following the massive infrastructural, economic, industrial and human capacity development being carried out by him as never seen before in the history of the state.

In his words,“ Hearty congratulations to our ever performing governor of Ogun state, the man who has positively redefined the concept of democratic governance. Your excellency sir, We are very much aware of your industrial revolutionary agendas and massive provision of meaningful dividends of democracy to the people, quality infrastructure spread across the state; the human capacity development of the people which has seen Ogun State maintain its gateway lead status. No doubt, you are indeed the architect of a modern Ogun state. We are always proud of been tagged with you always sir". 
Otunba Alowonle, also wished the governor more remarkable, outstanding and well deserved achievements and greatness.

The Chicago State University (CSU) has responded to the request by former vice president Atiku Abubakar in line with an Illinois, United States (U.S.) court order. In its response, the CSU insisted that it does not keep copies of diploma certificates issued to students. It also confirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu graduated from the school in 1979. The CSU said Tinubu graduated in 1979 with a bachelors degree in Business Administration. It, however, said that after diligent search it was able to find some but not give the names because of privacy concerns. It further said that it could not find that of Tinubu which Atiku claimed was presented by the president to INEC. The university said it found some diploma certificates with the same font as the one being queried by Atiku.

AMORAN Inaugurates Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as New State Chairman In Ogun

The Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) in Ogun State has officially inaugurated Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as the new chairman of the union. The inauguration ceremony took place today at the union's state secretariat in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. The leadership transition duly follows the resignation of the former chairman, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle. In response, the union's executive members unanimously elected Otunba Sokoya as the new chairman, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the organization. The event was marked by the presence of prominent dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, and the Ogun State Commissioner for Transport, Engr. Gbenga Dairo. Also in attendance were the union’s deputy chairman, Mr. Kazeem Lawal, along with other members of the state executive council.

Otunba Taofeek Sokoya Takes Helm as AMORAN Chairman Following Unanimous Vote

In what appears as transition of leadership, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya (a.k.a Danku) has been unanimously voted as the new Chairman of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN). This follows the resignation of Otunba Aina Nurudeen Alowonle, who stepped down to pursue his 'lifelong ambition'.  During an emergency meeting held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the state executives of AMORAN addressed the resignation letter submitted by Otunba Alowonle. In his letter, the outgoing chairman expressed his intent to resign due to his decision to contest for the position of Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government in the upcoming Ogun State local government elections. Otunba Alowonle extended his gratitude to the executive members for their unwavering support during his tenure.
