2024 OJUDE OBA IPERU COMMITTEE CHAIR, OYEBANJO, COMMENDS MEMBERS COOPERATION AND SUPPORT, APPEALS FOR MORE IN THE NEW YEAR

The Chairman, 2024 Ojude-Oba Iperu Planning Committee, Alhaji Taiwo OYEBANJO, has commended members of the committee for their overwhelming cooperation and support in the year 2023.

OYEBANJO gave this commendation in his New Year Message to the committee members.
In the message, he congratulated the members for a joyful crossover to the year 2024, as he wished them a blessed new year.
"No doubt, we have closed the year 2023 on a very high note, and expectantly, our hopes and aspirations for the year 2024 as a group is tall and ambitious. May the Lord grant our desires both individually and as a group", said the Chairman.

He appreciated all members greatly, describing them as wonderful people.
He said, "we have used our coming together to prove that Iperu can co-exist happily, and that we are more prepared to use our individual and collective greatness to build the town", describing the level of cooperation and support received so far as amazing and overwhelming
This according to him can be likened to what was witnessed in Iperu before the unnecessary and avoidable division.
"It is our time, and i am glad we are coming together to prove that we can live happily together, and support each other, said OYEBANJO.

As the 2024 Ojude Oba draws closer, he passionately appealed for a continuous relentless efforts at making the event a successful one.
"Let's continue the financial support, attend meetings regularly, and come up with ideas that can help make the Ojude Oba a great outing", he enjoined the members.

He acknowledged the receipt of the donation of the sum of #1m (One Million Naira), from one of the members of the committee, who does not want to be named, as well as another member who has equally pledged to sponsor the performance of the fuji sensation, Wasiu Alabi PASUMA at the event.

OYEBANJO further said that the committee's effort is primarily to make Iperu people happy by celebrating the 2024 Ojude-Oba in a grand style, thereby promoting unity, and fostering peaceful co-existence in the town.
"May we receive divine happiness in our individual homes", the Chairman therefore prayed.

While wishing them a happy and prosperous New Year, he also welcome further donations from members of the committee, and other interested volunteers who may want to support the committee in its work.

Meanwhile, the planning committee has constituted Sub-committees in order to make its work, more effective, well coordinated, and less-cumbersome.
According to a release from the Secretary of the 2024 Ojude Oba Iperu Planning Committee, Alhaji SBO OMISANYA, the following Sub-committees have been constituted with immediate effect.

The Chicago State University (CSU) has responded to the request by former vice president Atiku Abubakar in line with an Illinois, United States (U.S.) court order. In its response, the CSU insisted that it does not keep copies of diploma certificates issued to students. It also confirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu graduated from the school in 1979. The CSU said Tinubu graduated in 1979 with a bachelors degree in Business Administration. It, however, said that after diligent search it was able to find some but not give the names because of privacy concerns. It further said that it could not find that of Tinubu which Atiku claimed was presented by the president to INEC. The university said it found some diploma certificates with the same font as the one being queried by Atiku.

AMORAN Inaugurates Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as New State Chairman In Ogun

The Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) in Ogun State has officially inaugurated Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as the new chairman of the union. The inauguration ceremony took place today at the union's state secretariat in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. The leadership transition duly follows the resignation of the former chairman, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle. In response, the union's executive members unanimously elected Otunba Sokoya as the new chairman, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the organization. The event was marked by the presence of prominent dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, and the Ogun State Commissioner for Transport, Engr. Gbenga Dairo. Also in attendance were the union’s deputy chairman, Mr. Kazeem Lawal, along with other members of the state executive council.

Otunba Taofeek Sokoya Takes Helm as AMORAN Chairman Following Unanimous Vote

In what appears as transition of leadership, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya (a.k.a Danku) has been unanimously voted as the new Chairman of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN). This follows the resignation of Otunba Aina Nurudeen Alowonle, who stepped down to pursue his 'lifelong ambition'.  During an emergency meeting held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the state executives of AMORAN addressed the resignation letter submitted by Otunba Alowonle. In his letter, the outgoing chairman expressed his intent to resign due to his decision to contest for the position of Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government in the upcoming Ogun State local government elections.
