This, he kick started with a significant gesture of support by reaching out to his predecessors, offering them a sense of belonging within the union. The historic meeting, held at the Union's state secretariat in Abeokuta on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024, saw the attendance of Alhaji Azeez Olawale, known as "WILLYKAY",  a former chairman of the union, who represented other past chairmen. In what appears as transition of leadership, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya (a.k.a Danku) has been unanimously voted as the new Chairman of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN). This follows the resignation of Otunba Aina Nurudeen Alowonle, who stepped down to pursue his 'lifelong ambition'.  During an emergency meeting held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the state executives of AMORAN addressed the resignation letter submitted by Otunba Alowonle. In his letter, the outgoing chairman expressed his intent to resign due to his decision to contest for the position of Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government in the upcoming Ogun State local government elections.
