AMORAN PRO, OTUNBA TAOFEEK SOKOYA CONGRATULATES DR. OLUSOLA RASAK AS HE EMERGES MOUN PRESIDENT

The leadership of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) has conveyed congratulatory message to the State Chairman of the Riders & Owners of Motorcycle Organization in Ogun state; Dr. Sotayo Olusola Rasak on his emergence as the President-elect of Motorcycle Operators Union of Operators of Nigeria (MOUN). 

 In a message signed by its publicity secretary, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, the union described Solebo's emergence as 'well deserved', citing his enviable leadership qualities and antecedents as enough credentials. 

 "On behalf of the entire members of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), I wish to convey heartfelt congratulatory message to a distinctive leader and Ogun state Chairman of ROMO, Dr. Sotayo Olusola Rasak (a.k.a Solebo) on his well deserved emergence as the President-elect of the Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria (MOUN). 
 Based on his enviable leadership qualities and robust credentials in personal and public life, I have no doubt that the MOUN President-elect will deliver outstandingly in his new role. While I wish him a successful tenure, I also pray that the Almighty Allah will grant him the required wisdom to effectively discharge his activities. Once again, Congratulations Sir", the message read.

The Chicago State University (CSU) has responded to the request by former vice president Atiku Abubakar in line with an Illinois, United States (U.S.) court order. In its response, the CSU insisted that it does not keep copies of diploma certificates issued to students. It also confirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu graduated from the school in 1979. The CSU said Tinubu graduated in 1979 with a bachelors degree in Business Administration. It, however, said that after diligent search it was able to find some but not give the names because of privacy concerns. It further said that it could not find that of Tinubu which Atiku claimed was presented by the president to INEC. The university said it found some diploma certificates with the same font as the one being queried by Atiku.

AMORAN Inaugurates Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as New State Chairman In Ogun

The Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) in Ogun State has officially inaugurated Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as the new chairman of the union. The inauguration ceremony took place today at the union's state secretariat in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. The leadership transition duly follows the resignation of the former chairman, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle. In response, the union's executive members unanimously elected Otunba Sokoya as the new chairman, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the organization. The event was marked by the presence of prominent dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, and the Ogun State Commissioner for Transport, Engr. Gbenga Dairo. Also in attendance were the union’s deputy chairman, Mr. Kazeem Lawal, along with other members of the state executive council.

Otunba Taofeek Sokoya Takes Helm as AMORAN Chairman Following Unanimous Vote

In what appears as transition of leadership, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya (a.k.a Danku) has been unanimously voted as the new Chairman of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN). This follows the resignation of Otunba Aina Nurudeen Alowonle, who stepped down to pursue his 'lifelong ambition'.  During an emergency meeting held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the state executives of AMORAN addressed the resignation letter submitted by Otunba Alowonle. In his letter, the outgoing chairman expressed his intent to resign due to his decision to contest for the position of Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government in the upcoming Ogun State local government elections. Otunba Alowonle extended his gratitude to the executive members for their unwavering support during his tenure.
