Birthday Tribute To A Trailblazer and Highly Phenomenal Boss - Otunba Taofeek Sokoya

 Teamwork they say, does not happen only when people come together to work. The true meaning of teamwork is when we work together under the inspiration of a gifted team leader.  

It is a common knowledge that leadership is not  about a title or designation. Rather, it is about impact, influence and inspiration. Getting results require impact while influence is about spreading the passion one has for his/her work.

 The greatest of them all is to inspire others in achieving a common feat, a responsibility that has been diligently handled by the image maker of AMORAN in Ogun State; Otunba Taofeek Sokoya. 

 His great intelligence and perfect coordination of people and resources have brought him fame within and
 outside the transport sector in Ogun State. Otunba Sokoya is a storehouse of knowledge who lifts the confidence of others and let them become what they really intend to become.

 The ethos of hardwork, honesty, prudence, discipline and transparency are never seen to be compromised by the steadfast transport union leader, in his line of duties.

 At a relatively young age, Akile as fondly called by friends, family and associates has reached many milestones, rising to become a force to be reckoned with in the annals of transport unions in Ogun state - a responsibility he is handling with maturity and wisdom. 

His antecedents chronicle his fearless endeavors to get tasks accomplished, no matter how hard it looks. Otunba Sokoya is a corporate field marshal who has attained greatness through personal efforts underscored by clarity of vision, strong determination and rare perseverance. He therefore deserves a standing ovation and litany of well wishes as he celebrates his birthday today, 2nd of August, 2023.

 The members of the state media team of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) are so privileged to have the rare opportunity to work under such a great and amazing leader like you. May the Almighty Allah (SWT) grant you great health and more wisdom to continue to lead us right.  We wish you many happy and prosperous returns of today.

CSU confirms Tinubu graduated from school in 1979

The Chicago State University (CSU) has responded to the request by former vice president Atiku Abubakar in line with an Illinois, United States (U.S.) court order. In its response, the CSU insisted that it does not keep copies of diploma certificates issued to students. It also confirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu graduated from the school in 1979. The CSU said Tinubu graduated in 1979 with a bachelors degree in Business Administration. It, however, said that after diligent search it was able to find some but not give the names because of privacy concerns. It further said that it could not find that of Tinubu which Atiku claimed was presented by the president to INEC. The university said it found some diploma certificates with the same font as the one being queried by Atiku.

AMORAN Inaugurates Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as New State Chairman In Ogun

The Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) in Ogun State has officially inaugurated Otunba Taofeek Sokoya as the new chairman of the union. The inauguration ceremony took place today at the union's state secretariat in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. The leadership transition duly follows the resignation of the former chairman, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle. In response, the union's executive members unanimously elected Otunba Sokoya as the new chairman, entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the organization. The event was marked by the presence of prominent dignitaries, including the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, and the Ogun State Commissioner for Transport, Engr. Gbenga Dairo. Also in attendance were the union’s deputy chairman, Mr. Kazeem Lawal, along with other members of the state executive council.

Otunba Taofeek Sokoya Takes Helm as AMORAN Chairman Following Unanimous Vote

In what appears as transition of leadership, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya (a.k.a Danku) has been unanimously voted as the new Chairman of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners & Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN). This follows the resignation of Otunba Aina Nurudeen Alowonle, who stepped down to pursue his 'lifelong ambition'.  During an emergency meeting held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, the state executives of AMORAN addressed the resignation letter submitted by Otunba Alowonle. In his letter, the outgoing chairman expressed his intent to resign due to his decision to contest for the position of Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government in the upcoming Ogun State local government elections. Otunba Alowonle extended his gratitude to the executive members for their unwavering support during his tenure. Recognizing the importance of maintaining strong leadership, the state executives swiftly deliberated on the succession. The consensus was clear: Otunba Taofeek Sokoya
